Experience
Bethany earned a Master of Business Administration from William Carey University and a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She found her passion for counseling while serving as a Children’s Pastor at Pinelake Church and meeting with her servant leaders. She wanted to be able to take people further in their healing journey and began studying counseling.
Bethany began her counseling career with The Net Counseling and Mentoring where she has spent the past year at Crossroads Ministries, a transitional home for women coming out of prison. This has given Bethany a wide range of experience in addiction, complex trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family issues. She is a P-LPC excited to walk with clients through life experiences to find true healing and restoration. Bethany offers an authentic and safe space for her clients to process and heal. She uses a wide range of methods including CBT, DBT, IFS, and talk therapy to help clients in working through past trauma and to build coping skills to live a healthier and happier life.
Hefe (Hefeweizen)
Hefe is a sweet, friendly German Shepherd who has been through years of training in order to assist Bethany as a therapeutic teammate. She is a fully trained service K-9 (basic obedience, advanced obedience, and service training) who went through training at K-9 Evolution in Hattiesburg. She’s becoming one of our best helpers around the office, especially with anxiety and trauma. Her license number is 11022. If you would prefer Hefe not be present for your sessions with Bethany, just let her know ahead of time.
